Nigerian technology and product professional Efetobore Alexander Monedo has been named among the Top Five African Digital Innovators following an assessment by Innovation Makers Alliance (IMA), recognising his contribution to digital innovation and technology development in Africa.
The recognition was associated with the Digital Technology Winter Program, hosted by IÉSEG School of Management in Lille, France, from January 6 to 10, 2025. The programme was conducted in partnership with Innovation Makers Alliance, France, and brought together technology, entrepreneurship and sustainable development perspectives across Africa and Europe.
Monedo was selected from a pool of African innovators whose work was assessed across areas including innovation, scalability, sustainability and social impact. His recognition was linked particularly to VendoBird, his digital commerce platform developed to provide vendors and businesses with technology-driven tools for managing and growing their digital operations.
The recognition reflects Monedo’s broader work in applying technology and product development to practical business challenges, with a focus on building digital solutions relevant to Africa’s evolving technology ecosystem.
The recognition also formed part of Monedo’s participation in the Digital Technology Winter Program in Lille, where technology innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development were examined through the perspectives of African and European technology stakeholders.
